There will be a memorial service for Steve McNair in Nashville today with as many as 5,500 people in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Fans and friends of the former NFL quarterback can attend a visitation from 3:45-6 p.m. CT, with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. local time.

Bishop Joseph Walker III said the ceremony will focus on celebrating McNair's live, not the circumstances of his death.

"Eulogizing Steve McNair is a mammoth task," Walker told the Tennessean. "He wasn't just a parishioner but a friend, a dear, dear friend. It's incredibly difficult, because obviously you have to work through your own grief and offer aid and comfort to others."

Police said McNair's shooting death on Saturday was part of a murder-suicide orchestrated by his 20-year-old mistress, Sahel Kazemi.

Walker said he has been comforting McNair's wife, Mechelle, and the couple's four sons. He was with his wife when she got word that McNair had died.

"It was just a moment that I'll never forget," Walker said. "It was unreal, but I thank God that I was there, and I could be there for her."

It's unknown if McNair's casket will be open during the memorial service.

"Mr. McNair looks as good as he does in any picture that you may have ever seen of him," funeral director Richard Lewis told the Tennessean. "I can assure you that he looks completely and totally normal."

A series of unpredictable alliances could conspire to disrupt the yellow jersey hopes of Lance Armstrong and his Astana team on the seventh stage of the Tour de France on Friday.

The first summit finish of the race is at the Andorran ski station of Arcalis but, although important in the grand scheme of things, it will take many more battles in the mountains before this year's race is decided.

Nevertheless, after just five days of unexpected drama Astana have taken significant steps towards eliminating some of their rivals.

Ahead of Thursday's sixth stage to Barcelona seven-time champion Armstrong was just 0.22secs behind race leader Fabian Cancellara, with 2007 winner Alberto Contador in third at just 19sec. Two other Astana riders, Andreas Klöden and Levi Leipheimer, sit in fourth and fifth respectively.

The Kazakh-backed team's strong position ahead of three consecutive mountain stages gives them "plenty of cards to play", according to Australia's Michael Rogers, who rides for Columbia.

But it also means the likes of Denis Menchov (3:59), defending champion Carlos Sastre (2:44) and two-time runner-up Cadel Evans (2:59) and Luxembourger Andy Schleck (1:41) will have to attack, at one time or another, in an attempt to close their deficits.

Evans' team manager at Silence, Hendrik Redant, believes Astana will "control the race" on Friday's climb to the Arcalis summit, a 10.1km ascent at a manageable gradient of 7.1 percent.

However the Belgian has not ruled out sporadic attacks, and some challengers joining forces in a bid to beat Astana.

"There will be opportunities for attacks, but there will also be plenty of others in the mountain stages ahead, some of which are more difficult," Redant told AFP. "I think Astana will control the race for most of the day so the only chances could come in the final seven or eight kilometres (to Arcalis).

"That's when you could see some collaboration between some guys who have got the same goal, and that could leave Astana isolated. No one, I think, is going to collaborate with Astana."

It is not an uncommon occurrence in cycling, but Redant said nothing will be planned.

"It's not like we get together before the race to decide who will help us," added Redant. "The riders have to watch what is happening during the race for themselves and then decide whether to collaborate or not."

Whatever happens on Friday could dictate the rhythm and frequency of attacks during the eighth and ninth stages this weekend in the Pyrenees.

Redant believes Evans, who dropped way down the overall standings after a disappointing team time trial, can remain in contention.

"Everyone says our team is not strong enough," said the Belgian. "But I believe our guys will give Cadel the backing he needs. For us, the Tour will only be over when it reaches Paris."

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – A jury has reached a verdict in the trial of Jesse James Hollywood, who is accused of the kidnapping and murder of a 15-year-old Los Angeles boy whose body was found near Santa Barbara nine years ago.

Court is scheduled to convene Wednesday afternoon to hear the verdict. The jury deliberated since last week.

The 29-year-old Hollywood is accused of kidnapping Nicholas Markowitz over a drug debt owed by Markowitz's brother, then ordering his death. Hollywood was on the run for years before he was captured in Brazil. The case inspired the 2007 movie "Alpha Dog."

Hollywood could face the death penalty if convicted.

As people use more and more web applications, the operating system becomes less important and it makes no sense to pay for it. The desktop mail client could be replaced by Gmail, the calendaring application could be replaced by Google Calendar, the office suite has lightweight alternatives: Google Docs and Zoho, it makes more sense to use an online feed reader like Google Reader, your scientific calculator is less powerful than Wolfram Alpha and you'll rarely need a video player when you have YouTube, Hulu and other video sites.

This idea is not new and there are already operating systems optimized for the browser. For example, Good OS announced last year Cloud, an operating system that "integrates a web browser with a compressed Linux operating system kernel for immediate access to Internet, integration of browser and rich client applications, and full control of the computer from inside the browser". If Google manages to create a great user interface, the new operating system could be very successful.

Michael jackson death certificate, Hot on the heels of Michael Jackson’s memorial service held at L.A.’s Staples Center, the late singer’s death certificate has surfaced online, listing in it Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, L.A. as his mortuary. The official death certificate was issued Tuesday, July 7, the same day the memorial service took place. It was signed by sister La Toya Jackson.

The certificate, moreover, listed Michael’s cause of death as “deferred” taking into account that toxicology tests are still undergoing. Cyclingnews’ Hedwig Kröner is at the start today, and tells us there are lots and lots of people there. It is great to have so many fans there, but there is just one little problem – the traffic. Ok, so it wasn’t such a little problem. She says the Cyclingnews car got caught in a traffic jam at a roundabout and had to wait some 15 minutes.

Kröner talked to Quick Step’s Sylvain Chavanel about the weather and the stage. It is already 27° Celsius at the start with lots of wind. They expect to have backwind virtually the whole way, until they make that little u-turn near the end. Then they will have headwind, what fun.

Chavanel said that of course his team will be riding for sprinter Tom Boonen. He noted that they really can’t expect Columbia to do all of the lead work, so they will probably help out. He also expected the wind to break the peloton up into numerous groups again today.

Many athletes have been charges for drugs abuse in previous decade, most of then used drugs to enhance their performances, however few of them as a regular, but Nichole Bobek is neither of them, she has been charged and arrested for drug trafficking in the Hudson Country area as a part of drugs ring operation. What a disgrace for the family and for the country.

Nicole Bobek is originally from New Jersey but was arrested last week from Florida; she has made her first court appearance yesterday from Hudson County Jail using video on 6th July, 2009.

Sam DeLuca, the attorney for Nichole Bobek entered a not guilty plea, However if she is find guilty for the charges she will face up to 10 years in jail. The bail amount suggested for her is $200,000.

Steve Mcnair dead, Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair, whose most noted drive was the final one of the 2000 Super Bowl, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head Saturday afternoon in a downtown condominium. Police said a woman was also shot dead.

McNair was 36 and played 13 seasons before retiring in April 2008. Police spokesman Don Aaron said officials tentatively identified the woman, but did not release her name. He confirmed she wasn't McNair's wife, Mechelle.

He said authorities were still investigating the shootings and that no suspects were in custody.
